You are the REAL DEAL as long as you stay Positive!

Whatever you do stay positive particularly when the going gets tough. Isn’t this obvious? You have to stay positive, filled with trust, and believe in yourself when life seems to be conspiring against you? Isn’t it logical that remaining positive will give the best chance of succeeding?

Being negative cannot possibly be the ‘better’ option! Most people get down on themselves, feel helpless and hopeless when results, selections, injuries start going against them. Thoughts and language such as, why me, here we go again, I seem to always get bad breaks…….etc start to linger and gain momentum unfortunately. None of this stuff helps and in fact hinders you and leads to more discouraging thoughts and self-talk because – what you put out, is what you get back!

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results. Willie Nelson

Why is it so tough to remain in a positive place that best serves you?

There are so many answers to this billion-dollar question but let’s just nail the essence of becoming a Champion which is……. To be the real deal, you must make a deal with yourself – that whatever happens, no matter how apparently bad a situation is you will remain positive.

Repeat 20 times now – I will remain positive, I will remain positive….18 to go; said with a smile, of course. Knock yourself out, not literally of course, say the good stuff all day. I promise it will make you feel amazing! Keep saying what you hope and aspire to become. Repetition of key words and phrases will imprint on your brain desired thinking process and strategy.

Being positive and optimistic is the ‘sacred’ way of the champion. Actually, this is the only way for an intending champion. The best of all sports have total faith in their abilities whatever happens. Your sporting career directly relies upon you staying in the right place, that winning space – positive and trusting.

“Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.” Colin Powell

Spitting the dummy, cussing, abusing the referee’s decision, chucking a ‘tanty’ (short for tantrum) and/or hammering yourself sends you spiraling down a slippery slope of more of the same.

Remember – what you put out will always come back. By putting out negativity, dissatisfaction, bad body language, negative self-talk, guarantees more of the same and is an invitation to negative results. That is why we called it the Boomerang Effect Mindset Program.

Put simply, projecting really positive words, thoughts and actions gives you a far better chance of succeeding than doing the opposite, namely, putting out negative word, thoughts and actions.

Hammering yourself with a barrage of insulting thoughts will lead you down the slippery slope of helplessness.

Stop this madness!

The simple solution is – notice and recognise what’s happening in your mind and thoughts, then choose to turn back and say to yourself, if I proceed down this painful path I know I’ll ruin my chances of winning or doing the best I can; said with a smile, of course.

You are not a victim of your thoughts. You are the driver of your turbo charged Ferrari – your mind.

It’s time to control the steering wheel of your high-performance vehicle by committing in a positive self-talk that stirs up the best of you. ‘I can do this; I’ve got what it takes; I love challenges; As long as I give myself the chance anything can happen’.………essentially say the good stuff. Take charge! Throw out positive boomerangs like – positive language, words of encouragement to your team mates, constructive productive thoughts and amazingly strong body language; who knows what can happen. At the very least you will give yourself a better chance of succeeding.

This is the way. Positive 24/7! This is the best way to share this with the world at large.

Any competitive setting in sport is full of challenges, danger, tests – hey, even opportunities – yet it’s how you conduct yourself that will make the real difference. When you hold your head up high, pull your shoulders back whatever is thrown your way that’s when you take a leap into the better part of yourself.

In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact. Les Brown

Face the challenge, take it on the chin and say thank you this is going to make me stronger. And, how cool! By working on the above stuff daily you will eventually become the REAL DEAL.

Finally, strive relentlessly to be positive every day in every way and you will become a true champion of your own life that others will try be like. Watch your dreams eventually come true.
